that hum

does anyone else hear
that high-pitched hum
coming from the speakers?
it’s constant, regardless of the
performer on the stage
at any given time. it’s driving me
crazy. but what has been heard
cannot be unheard. damn my perfect
hearing! let that be a lesson
to me, sometimes hearing the
dog whistle is just
irritating.
